“Puss in Boots” was the first opera composed of three by Xavier Montsalvatge. This work was structured in five scenes and a single act and was based on the libretto by Néstor Luján about the homonymous story by Perrault. The orchestral version premiered in 1948 at the Gran Teatre del Liceu.

This scenic version, with a simple and beauteful set design, tries to rescue the essence of the story that makes both children and adults laugh and dream alike. It is a proposal that at the same time serves as an introduction to the world of opera for the whole family through the beautiful melodies created by this great composer.
